Door Seal

have a leak coming from drivers side door seal on my eclipse? HI everyone, i have an 03 eclipse GTS spyder and it has started leaking on the driver door right above and below the the tweeter, i cant seem to be able to stop it and it is getting worst, the other day there was water going all the way to the bottom speaker and the inside floor, i dont want to have water damage or to have my speakers short out. What can i do, should i take the the tweeter and glue the seal better or get some sort of sealant of some sort. Eclipse has a TSB for the door weather strips leaking in the mirror area. Make sure that the doors are adjusted flush with the rear quarter panels first. If not, adjust the door latch striker in the door opening in farther. This will put more tension on the weather strip. You may also need to shim the weather strip out farther if the door latch adjustment does not work. I have already had to make a 1/4th inch slit in the weather strip and then slide a piece of soft rubber tubing inside the weather strip. A 6" piece in the mirror area should work. After inserting the tubing you can seal the slit with black silicon sealer. Let it dry with the door open.
